This card was sent to my son's teacher. His wife battled cancer for 2 years. I was sending the family a card a month while they were on this journey. I sent this one to let him know He still is being prayed for by our family. She is now with Jesus. I'm not sure it turned out as manly as I wanted it, but I had fun making it and alot of prayer went with it, which is the most important part of it.
My favorite technique is powder embossing.
I entered this into the challenges at
GAB Stampin #8. and
Papercraft Star #39 for those of you that our new, My goal for 2011 was to enter into a few challenges only, so I picked some of my favorites and posted them on the sidebar. This helped me stay focussed and enjoy blogging. I was getting overwhelmed with so many choices.
Supplies:
The background stamp-I found this at michaels in the clearence area. It was a set of rubber impressions for soap making. I thought this would make a great background stamp. the stamp is actually the size of the square on the front and stamped it 4 times to make the back ground. I added adheasive foam to the back and viola I made a stamp out of it, for .99 I got 4 different stamps.
The Sentiment- Is from Embossing Art, which I bought through
I Brake For Stamps I used MS black embossing on it. I think she has the finest embossing powder, the letters came out very clear.
Ink- Tim Holts Distressed Ink- fired brick
Embossing powder was- U-T melting art- interference blue- I love the color affect it gave the front square.
