Birthday card for a 1 year old boy. I like how this turned out. I embossed the skull(Tim Holts) with MS black powder, the number was colored with catseye and the hat was cut with my Cricut(Sweet Treats). I also used black flowersoft for the party hat ball.

TAXI ANYONE?

I have been so busy helping my parents. My father has been dealing with some health issues and I am the closest child. My life has changed. I now am driving him to dr after dr appointments. He will be having surgery soon. First please pray for my fathers surgeries and second pray for me to manage my time between my family and my parents and blogging of course. It will be about a year+ of loving service to my parents. My mom does not drive anymore so I will be transportation for them. Taxi anyone.

I have follwed gettingcricky.com for awhile now. I've even won some yummy Crikit pens from her before. Love them the company is .cri-kits.com. they work great with the cricut.

Anyway I am to share something about myself not to many people know. Well I have only told my husband and kids about my blog. I have not invited my friends yet, why?...... Not sure if I was going to like blogging, and I wanted to get followers because I inspired them, not because they were just great friends. You know what I mean?  WELL I LOVE BLOGGING I think I will tell them when I hit 100 followers. That seems like a good goal.

My computer was down for 4 days, and to my surprise when I got back on, my card was chosen for top pick atGAB Challenge Blog. If you click on the button on my blog"top pick for April" to the right you can see the card. Nice surprise, thank you ladies. :)

THINKING OF YOU

I  just love when you get a color challenge and everything just falls into place. I made this for
GAB Stampin.#9. I used the sketch from The Beary Scrap#23. It all worked so well together. This card is for a dear friend, April is always a hard month for her, both of her grandparents dies in this month, they raised her. So I thought I would send her a card, to let her know I'm thinking of her during this tough month.

SUPPLIES:
Cartridges: Mickey and Friends=purse, Gypsy Wanderings=shoe.
Paper: Cloud 9 Design= sparkle climbing flowers from the cinnamon stick collection -I cut out the three corner flowers from the paper and used them as embelishments.
I love how the purse got a single flower from the paper design. I can lie and say I planned it that way, but I won't. It just turned out to be on that spot when it cut it. Looks great either way.

NOT BY MIGHT

This card was sent to my son's teacher. His wife battled cancer for 2 years. I was sending the family a card a month while they were on this journey. I sent this one to let him know He still is being prayed for by our family. She is now with Jesus. I'm not sure it turned out as manly as I wanted it, but I had fun making it and alot of prayer went with it, which is the most important part of it.

My favorite technique is powder embossing.
 I entered this into the challenges at GAB Stampin #8. and Papercraft Star #39 for those of you that our new, My goal for 2011 was to enter into a few challenges only, so I picked some of my favorites and posted them on the sidebar. This helped me stay focussed and enjoy blogging. I was getting overwhelmed with so many choices.
Supplies:
The  background stamp-I found this at michaels in the clearence area. It was a set of rubber impressions for soap making. I thought this would make a great background stamp. the stamp is actually the size of the square on the front and stamped it 4 times to make the back ground. I added adheasive foam to the back and viola I made a stamp out of it, for .99 I got 4 different stamps.

The Sentiment- Is from Embossing Art, which I bought through I Brake For Stamps I used MS black embossing on it. I think she has the finest embossing powder, the letters came out very clear.
Ink- Tim Holts Distressed Ink- fired brick
Embossing powder was- U-T melting art- interference blue- I love the color affect it gave the front square.
Distressed edges- Zutters Distrezz-it-all, love this tool.  You can even use cardboard in it. Donna Salazar invention Check it out- Donna Salazar I love her products and her design look.

AMOUR

I had to keep cutting the glasses out because they were so thin. I was getting frustrated and ready to give up, then I decided to add cardboard to the back and it all workd out fine. what do you think.

I used Stretch Your Imagination and Calligraphy Collection, look closely at the inside of the glasses I added bubblies with little beads.
