NOT BY MIGHT

This card was sent to my son's teacher. His wife battled cancer for 2 years. I was sending the family a card a month while they were on this journey. I sent this one to let him know He still is being prayed for by our family. She is now with Jesus. I'm not sure it turned out as manly as I wanted it, but I had fun making it and alot of prayer went with it, which is the most important part of it.

My favorite technique is powder embossing.
 I entered this into the challenges at GAB Stampin #8. and Papercraft Star #39 for those of you that our new, My goal for 2011 was to enter into a few challenges only, so I picked some of my favorites and posted them on the sidebar. This helped me stay focussed and enjoy blogging. I was getting overwhelmed with so many choices.
Supplies:
The  background stamp-I found this at michaels in the clearence area. It was a set of rubber impressions for soap making. I thought this would make a great background stamp. the stamp is actually the size of the square on the front and stamped it 4 times to make the back ground. I added adheasive foam to the back and viola I made a stamp out of it, for .99 I got 4 different stamps.

The Sentiment- Is from Embossing Art, which I bought through I Brake For Stamps I used MS black embossing on it. I think she has the finest embossing powder, the letters came out very clear.
Ink- Tim Holts Distressed Ink- fired brick
Embossing powder was- U-T melting art- interference blue- I love the color affect it gave the front square.
Distressed edges- Zutters Distrezz-it-all, love this tool.  You can even use cardboard in it. Donna Salazar invention Check it out- Donna Salazar I love her products and her design look.

AMOUR

I had to keep cutting the glasses out because they were so thin. I was getting frustrated and ready to give up, then I decided to add cardboard to the back and it all workd out fine. what do you think.

I used Stretch Your Imagination and Calligraphy Collection, look closely at the inside of the glasses I added bubblies with little beads.

ANYTHING SPRING

Wow, it's been awhile since I made a layout. This was my first love, untill I found card making to be more relaxing for me. My Bday is in Dec., but made this great spring layout yo match the paper I wanted to use. I think It's time to start catching up(if I cold even use that word)haha on my scrapbooking. I made this forThe Beary Scrap Challenge #22

CRACK ANY NUT

Entering this into a challenge atGAB Stampin and also for Paper Playtime Challenge # 41 I'm trying to use my copics more often. I still need help on coloring, I need to practice more, and will be taking a class the the Expo when it comes to town. I colored it  more after I saw this pic, but i'm in to much pain to retake picture. My camera battery is dying anyway.

I did not have fun making this card. I had a root canal on Tues. and am in more pain then before. I have a bad infection that is taking time to heal. I thought making a card would take my mind off of the pain, but to no avail. Going to take more meds and watch TV.

MARDI-GRAS SWEET 16

I went to a sweet 16 Mardi-Gra birthday bash. I love how the wrapping turned out. I made them each a scrapbook full of Mardi-Gra colors. I'm sure they will have fun filling in the pages with all the great pics.

I'm entering this into Paper Playtime challenge #41 pick 1 0f 3. I chose Green and Purple.
